What do you do when the neighbors offer their vacation home for sale?

We started thinking very hard and could think of 100 reasons why we wouldn't do it. But what if you don't and someone else buys it with very wild plans? We could at least take a look, right? Yes and we did, was it a dream house? Absolutely not, but it was a super nice place and yes we fell for that. So we took the adventure again. Cottage number 4 on our beloved vacation "island" the Silk Island.

Was the timing perfect? No certainly not right before the season and of course there is also work to be done to make the house nice and ready for rental. While at `t Bullekroffie it is also nice and busy. Outside painting, inside a lot of painting, new kitchen, new bathroom, wallpapering, decorating together. Super fun but time consuming. Our Golden doodle Buddy loved it, he was allowed to come to the house and sit and watch the activity around the little harbor. Garden is fenced which is quite handy when the dog is with us.

We are so glad we did it and it has become so nice and cozy. Meanwhile we have welcomed the 1st tenants and there are plenty of reservations, even for next summer there is already booked. Curious, please take a look at this nice vacation home
